  1. Let's Discover Site License Read Me
  2.  
  3. The purchase of a Site License for the Let's Discover! series will allow the purchaser 
  4. to use this Software on up to 50 computers at any one single building/school.  
  5. (An additional license for more computers may be purchased.)
  6. One copy of the software has been provided.  The software 
  7. purchased for a site license may be installed on individual 
  8. computers or run on a network and accessed by computers at a 
  9. single building/school.  (NOTE:  This Site License does not allow 
  10. for city-wide, county-wide, district-wide, state-wide, or use across the internet of 
  11. the Software.  For information and pricing regarding any one of 
  12. these options, please call Gallopade International, Inc. (770)-631-4222

  16. **You can not use the Site License Validator program to upgrade your Let's Discover program 
  17. unless you have purchased and registered your site license agreement with Gallopade 
  18. International, Inc. and received a Site License Validation Code.

  20. **If you have purchased a single-user license and are interested in upgrading to a site license 
  21. version by receiving a Site License Validation Code, then call (800) 536-2438 or e-mail to 
  22. sales@gallopade.com.

  25. The Let's Discover Series CD-ROMs site license versions can be 
  26. run in any of the following ways:
  27.  
  28. 1)  Run from CD Tower.(slower performance)
  29. 2)  Installed into shared storage device on a network.)  
  30. 3)  Installed onto local hard drive of stand-alone workstations. (fastest performance)

  34. To install the Software onto the hard disk of a network server, do the following:
  35. Double click on the MY COMPUTER icon.
  36. Double click on the icon for your hard drive (usually the C: drive).
  37. Double click on the PROGRAM FILES folder.
  38. Under the FILE menu, choose "New Folder" - this folder will appear in the hard drive window with the name NEW FOLDER.
  39. Rename this folder to DISCOVER FOLDER.
  40. Go back and Double click on the MY COMPUTER icon (leave the PROGRAM FILES folder open).
  41. Double click on the Discover CD icon (usually D: drive).
  42. Select all the items in the Discover CD window (these are:  Discover icon, folder called FILES, folder called XTRAS, Read Me File Tech Help File)
  43. Drag and copy all of these items to the DISCOVER FOLDER you created into the New Folder that you created called DISCOVER FOLDER.
  44. Open the SiteLicense folder.
  45. Run the SL Validator program.
  46.  
  47. Once you type in your Site License Validation Code, you will be able to run the 
  48. Let's Discover program across your network concurrently on 
  49. multiple computers.

  51. (If you receive error messages when multiple users attempt to access the
  52. Let's Discover program at the same time, then be sure that all the files
  53. are locked.  You can check this by single clicking an icon and under the
  54. FILE menu, select Get Info.  Then be sure the locked option in the bottom
  55. left of the info window is selected)
  56.  
  57. You can now remove the CD from the CD drive and run the DISCOVER program 
  58. from the DISCOVER FOLDER on your hard drive.

  62. If you wish to install this program onto the local hard drive 
  63. so that you will not have to insert the CD every time you run 
  64. the Discover program, do the following:
  65.  
  66. Double-click the CD icon.
  67. Open the SiteLicense folder.
  68. Run the SL Validator program.
  69. Once you type in your serial number, you will be able to copy 
  70. the Let's Discover files onto your computers' hard drives for 
  71. simultaneous playback.
  72. Double click on the MY COMPUTER icon.
  73. Double click on the icon for your hard drive (usually the C: drive).
  74. Double click on the PROGRAM FILES folder.
  75. Under the FILE menu, choose "New Folder" - this folder will appear in the hard drive window with the name NEW FOLDER.
  76. Rename this folder to DISCOVER FOLDER.
  77. Go back and Double click on the MY COMPUTER icon (leave the PROGRAM FILES folder open).
  78. Double click on the Discover CD icon (usually D: drive).
  79. Select all the items in the Discover CD window (these are:  Discover icon, folder called FILES, folder called XTRAS, Read Me File Tech Help File)
  80. Drag and copy all of these items to the DISCOVER FOLDER you created into the New Folder that you created called DISCOVER FOLDER.

  82. (For the best playback results - it is recommended that your
  83. monitor resolution be set to 800 x 600 and the color depth set
  84. to 32 bit.  32mb RAM is preferred.)
